Nestlé Nigeria Says Infant Formula Products Not Affected by Global Recall

Lagos, Nigeria — Nestlé Nigeria has clarified that none of the infant formula products sold in the country are affected by the voluntary and precautionary recall of specific batches of Nestlé Infant Formula announced in some countries.

In a statement issued to address public concerns, the company explained that the recall applies only to selected batches in certain international markets and does not include products manufactured, distributed, or sold by Nestlé Nigeria.

According to the company, all infant formula products marketed in Nigeria are duly registered with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and meet the highest safety and quality standards.

Nestlé Nigeria specifically reassured consumers that all SMA products—SMA Gold 1, SMA Gold 2, and SMA Gold 3—as well as the full NAN range, including NAN Optipro 1, NAN Optipro 2, and NAN Optipro 3, are safe for consumption.

“The safety and quality of our products, as well as the health and well-being of babies, remain our top priorities,” the company stated.
