FUNAAB EMTSA INAUGURATES NEW EXECUTIVES, CHARGES LEADERS ON SERVICE AND EXCELLENCE

The Environmental Management and Toxicology Student Association (EMTSA) of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has inaugurated a new set of executive officers to steer the affairs of the association for the new academic session.

The swearing-in ceremony, held amidst excitement and optimism among students of the department, marked the formal transition of leadership as the newly elected executives took the oath of office, pledging to uphold the constitution of the association and work for the collective interests of members.

Administering the oath was the FUNAAB Students' Union Chief Judge, Dan Adeyemi, a student of the Department of Environmental Management and Toxicology, who charged the new executives to discharge their duties with integrity, dedication, and a strong commitment to the advancement of the department.

Speaking shortly after taking the oath, the newly inaugurated President, Oluwatamilore Peace Anjorin, expressed gratitude to members of the association for the confidence reposed in the new leadership. She pledged to foster unity, promote academic excellence, and implement programmes that would positively impact students within the department.

The new executive council comprises Oderinde Abigail Fiyinfoluwa as Vice President, Bankole Festus Olamide as General Secretary, Muideen Roimot Dasola as Assistant General Secretary, Olofinnika Elizabeth Ireoluwa as Welfare Director, Omojole Mujeeb Oluwateniola as Sport Director, Agoola Ifeoluwa David as Public Relations Officer, Giwa Ridwan Ayomide as Social Director, Oluwade Precious Oluwafolakemi as Treasurer, and Agoola Inioluwa Elizabeth as Financial Secretary.

Members of the association expressed confidence in the capacity of the newly elected officers to advance the goals of EMTSA and strengthen student participation in departmental activities.

The event also served as a platform for students to reaffirm their commitment to environmental sustainability, academic excellence, and responsible leadership, values for which the Department of Environmental Management and Toxicology is widely recognized.

As the new administration begins its tenure, expectations remain high that the executive council will build on the achievements of previous administrations and introduce innovative initiatives that will further enhance the welfare and professional development of EMTSA members.
